Blog Tour & Giveaway ~ Twisted Views by T Gephart

TITLE: Twisted Views ( Fate's Companion )
AUTHOR: T Gephart
RELEASE DATE: 10th December 2013
HOSTED BY: Forever Me Romance

SYNOPSIS:

Twisted Views delves deeper into the world of Lexi Reed, the feisty, career driven heroine from A Twist of Fate. This companion novella gives us additional information, backstories and insights of the main players told to us by the characters themselves.

A Twist of Fate pulled us effortlessly into the world of Lexi Reed - the feisty, smart, sexy and career driven PR manager whose world was turned upside down when she met and began representing her favourite rock band, Power Station. This opportunity of a lifetime not only capitulated Lexi into a new and exciting world but onto a hot and steamy path with Alex Stone, the band's lead guitarist. Their passion simmered as they tired to maintain their secret relationship, leaving both Alex and Lexi wanting more than the "no strings, sex only" agreement they had negotiated. Hearts and rules were broken as Lexi learned the hard way, you can't negotiate with emotions, least of all love.

In this companion novella, we get to examine what has happened behind the scenes from different perspectives, told to us by the characters themselves. Through the eyes of Alex and others we get a clearer view of how Lexi's arrival affects not only dynamics of the band but their personal relationships with her and each other. We get to know the main players more intimately as we are given access to interviews and personal accounts, learning not only about them and what makes them tick but how their world has changed since Lexi's arrival.

AUTHOR BIO:

T Gephart is an indie author from Melbourne, Australia.

T's approach to life has been somewhat unconventional. Rather than going to University, she jumped on a plane to Los Angeles, USA in search of adventure. While this first trip left her somewhat underwhelmed and largely depleted of funds it fueled her appetite for travel and life experience.
With a rather eclectic resume, which reads more like the fiction she writes than an actual employment history, T struggled to find her niche in the world.

While on a subsequent trip the United States in 1999, T met and married her husband. Their whirlwind courtship and interesting impromptu convenience store wedding set the tone for their life together, which is anything but ordinary.

They have lived in Louisiana, Guam and Australia and have travelled extensively throughout the US. T has two beautiful young children and one four legged child, Woodley the wonder dog.
An avid reader, T became increasingly frustrated by the lack of strong female characters in the books she was reading. She wanted to read about a woman she could identify with, someone strong, independent and confident who didn't lack femininity. Out of this need, she decided to pen her first book, A Twist of Fate.

She enjoyed the process so much that when it was over she couldn't let it go.
T loves to travel, laugh and surround herself with colourful characters. This inevitably spills into her writing and makes for an interesting journey - she is well and truly enjoying the ride!
Based on her life experiences, T has plenty of material for her books and has a wealth of ideas to keep you all enthralled.

T self-published her first two novels through Smashwords, is currently writing a novella and the third and final book in the Lexi Trilogy.

Book Details

Author: Christi Barth
Edition: First Edition
Format: eBook
Publication Date: December, 2013
Publisher: Carina Press

Becca Huntley’s produced the Lyndale Park Player’s over-the-top Christmas pageant for ten years. The beloved Minneapolis tradition is the theatre’s main fundraiser. But this year’s production is almost canceled when their director disappears into rehab at the last minute. Good thing his directing partner steps in to save the day. Except for the minor fact that he hates everything about Christmas.

Jack Whittaker wiped the Twin Cities off his shoe with his graduation tassel and never looked back. But duty compels him to fulfill Tyler’s promise to direct the show. Even though it means working side-by-side with Becca, the girl he always wanted, lost to Ty, but never forgot.

It’ll take more than a few handfuls of tinsel to soften Jack’s heart toward Becca’s favorite holiday. Steamy kisses that melt the snow right off his boots are a step in the right direction. They’ll both discover that Christmas is about making each other's dreams come true. But will doing so destroy their chance at a happily-ever-after together?

About the Author

Christi Barth earned a Master’s degree in vocal performance and embarked upon a career on the stage.

A love of romance then drew her to wedding planning.

Ultimately she succumbed to her lifelong love of books and now writes contemporary romance.

She is the award-winning author of the Aisle Bound series. Christi is President of the Maryland Romance Writers and lives in Maryland with her husband.

How long have you been writing?
I dabbled my whole life (and proudly won creative writing awards in high school), but didn't force myself to actually finish a book until six years ago. Have been churning out titles non-stop ever since (Lesson for the day - don't wait to pursue your dreams)!

What make you like to write?
Maybe it is the control freak in me? Wanting to arrange everyone's lives? The most fun I have falls in two categories: writing witty dialogue and coming up with the sappiest, most romantic proposals ever.

Who is your favorite author and why?
Sorry for the lack of originality to this answer, but it is the great and talented Nora Roberts. Hands down. She is the undisputed master of the romance craft. Her books make you feel like you are in them, standing right next to the characters. I'm over the moon that I get to do a signing with her AT her bookstore in two weeks!

What are your favorite things to do besides writing?
I love, love LOVE to cook. I menu plan every Sunday for the coming week, and always try out new recipes when we have company over. But my favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband. Doesn't even matter what, as long as we are together.

What is your favorite scene to write?
I love writing the first official date. Of course, lots of fun and shenanigans – not to mention kisses – can happen prior to that, but a first date carries some serious flirting and sensual tension. Sooo much fun.

Blog Tour & Giveaway ~ Fragile Brilliance by Tammy Blackwell

Fragile Brilliance is available on November 26th!

Maggie McCray has worked her whole life for the opportunity to attend Sanders College. It’s her one chance at becoming a world-renowned artist, and she’s determined nothing will get in her way. But when a murder brings Maggie and her powers to the attention of the Alpha Pack and the tragically handsome Charlie Hagan, her carefully planned future hangs in jeopardy.

Charlie Hagan isn’t happy when the Alpha Female assigns him as Maggie McCray’s personal bodyguard. Just being near the Thaumaturgic threatens to unleash the primal instincts he’s been suppressing for so long. Charlie knows if the coyote is uncaged, then the person he’ll most need to protect Maggie from is himself.

Teaser

With every breath they were drawing closer and closer together. Maggie’s entire body buzzed and tingled in anticipation.

“Who am I, Maggie?”

“You’re Charlie Hagan. Stratego of the Alpha Pack.” She breathed in the scent of him. Cinnamon and male. “You’re a fighter of demons and protector of innocents.” Unable to stop herself, she finally did what she’d been dreaming of since she first met him and placed her lips against his. It was just a fleeting caress, but she felt it deep in her soul. “You’re beautiful,” she said, knowing it wasn’t a strong enough word to describe him.

About Tammy Blackwell
Tammy Blackwell

Tammy Blackwell is a Young Adult Services Coordinator for a public library system in Kentucky. When she’s not reading, writing, cataloging, or talking about books, she’s sleeping.

How long have you been writing?
The first thing I ever had published was a poem I wrote in the sixth grade, so… awhile. (Bonus points if you heard that in R-Pattz’s voice.)

What make you like to write?
I love to read. Always have. I was that kid who, when shoved out the front door by parents who were convinced a child couldn’t be a child without fresh air and sunshine, immediately found a nice little hidey-hole in the bushes where I could get comfy and read until I was allowed back inside the house. When you love something as much as I love books, you want to be a part of it. Since I can’t crawl inside the pages and exist in Once Upon a Time, I’m doing the next best thing… creating my own Once Upon a Times.

Who is your favorite author and why?
Oh, good grief. There is no reasonable way to answer this question. I love too many people too much to even begin to narrow it down, so I’m going to purposefully misinterpret it and answer:

Samantha Young, because she is ridiculously nice and fun.

What are your favorite things to do besides writing?
Reading and hanging out with my 3 year old.

What was the hardest scene for you to edit out?
I once had to edit out a scene that took place in a Dairy Queen. I loved that scene because I felt like I really nailed the whole small town Dairy Queen vibe. Sadly, no one actually cares about a small town Dairy Queen vibe, especially when it doesn’t add anything to the story.

How, when and why did you first start writing?
I’ve been writing since before I could actually write (I was big on oral storytelling as a toddler), but I didn’t start seriously writing until 2008. I had been thinking about the book I would write for the teens at my library “if I only had the talent” when I attended YALSA’s Young Adult Literature Symposium and met some real-life writers for the first time. It was an eye-opening experience. I realized writers aren’t people who are magically endowed with this unknowable thing known as talent. Writers are simply people who wrote, and authors are people who didn’t give up. I started writing my first novel, Destiny Binds, two hours after I got home from the conference.

What is the best book that you've read recently?
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It is perfect. Seriously. She got everything, including the modern geeky teenager, so right it’s almost painful. Read it. Read it now.

BLURB

An otherworldly, evil and dangerous force infests America’s oldest and most haunted city, St. Augustine, Florida. Everyone living there, or visiting, is at risk in ways too horrible to imagine.

Standing between this invader and the people of St. Augustine are teenagers Jeff and Carla, the mysterious Native American shaman, Lobo, and Lyle, the homeless guy.

In their quest to save themselves and all the inhabitants of this ancient, Florida city, Jeff and Carla uncover lost parts of St. Augustine history, push past the limits of space and time, and encounter what they come to realize are the true walking dead.

EXCERPT

“You did all that with the dragonflies, didn’t you?” I asked Lobo. “That was anything but natural.”

“You give me too much credit.” He still stared straight ahead. “Besides being intelligent and curious, dragonflies are at times drawn to heightened psychic energy just like we’re giving off right now. They see it as we would see heat waves rising from the distant surface of a street on a hot day and they feel it as a slight tingling in their nervous systems.”

Part of me wanted to ask him how he could possibly know any of that, but a bigger part just accepted what the man had said. There were times, I knew, not to question Lobo’s ability to see way beyond normal human awareness.

“Some Native American lore says the appearance of many dragonflies is a sign of coming change and enlightenment.” Lobo turned to look right at me with his eyes flashing. “You’ve already had a lot of change in your life since Carla introduced us in my workshop, haven’t you?”

“No kidding.” Was that ever an understatement. “At the time, you said I had problems buzzing around me like yellow jackets.”

“And so you did, but you had the courage to face what you must, head-on.”

Wow, I thought, a rare compliment from Lobo. “Yeah, and almost got Carla and myself trapped in my ancestor’s self-created spiritual hell or even killed.” Thinking back on that time though, I had no doubt that Lobo’s guidance helped us to survive.
