Being a part of the SO7 means everything to me. I’ve worked so fucking hard to get to where I am, to be a valued member of the team, so for Brandon to come in and be the one to possibly take it all from me is not something I am comfortable with.

That little asshole, we all should have known he was a double agent from the start. And I wish I was paying more attention that day I was stationed outside of Eli’s house guarding Kenzi. I still feel so much fucking guilt for that. I was the first line of defense for Eli and Kenzi, and Brandon took me out with one swift knock to the fucking head.

He was a crafty bastard, I’ll give him that. How he managed to sneak up on me, I’m still not really sure. But the fallout from that fucked-up day is that I have to take a reentrance exam. To make sure I am still physically fit to be a part of my own goddamn team.

It’s heavy on the fitness side of things, but also includes mental stamina, weighted obstacle courses, tech skills, target practice, then simple things like endurance running. I tried to pass the test a month ago but failed. My body still at peak performance, but my brain is sluggish from my head injury.

If I don’t pass this time, I’m done.

Out of the SO7 for good.

But I have nothing to go back to.
