Angry at the human race and its methodical destruction of her resources, Mother Earth recruits souls who have just left their bodies to serve Her, and turns them against humanity. Gemini, a clan of paranormal beings, picked from these possessed humans, emerges. A powerful, rising force proceeds to carry out Mother Nature’s plan to systematically destroy towns, cities, states… and eventually, the world.

Amidst the chaos, a forbidden relationship between a human girl, Violette, and Onyx, a lead Gemini, begins. They will both find themselves in the middle of a revolutionary war that will either save, or destroy our world

About Author Jessica O'Gorek

I was born in Chesapeake, Virginia on April 19th, 1979. I was raised within the American Indian religion and was taught great respect for the earth and all its living beings. Powwows, sweat lodges, vision quests, you name it, I’ve done it. I was the weird kid who would confront kids on the playground in elementary school when they squished a bug. I would very sincerely tell them what they were doing was morally wrong and then I would pray for the bug to come back as a butterfly in its next life.

I grew up admiring my father, Barry Weinstock, as an author. He took me around the country to different places so he could research and write his Wilderness Survival books. One of his greatest works, “The Path of Power,” was written with a great medicine man, Sunbear. When I was twelve I started hand writing novels. My first one was two thousand pages. My dad always encouraged me and would rave about my writing. He gave me the confidence I needed to keep writing and follow my dream. My daughter, who is twelve, is currently working on her first novel. I hope to continue the legacy.

Save the Planet, Kill a Human

Yep, that’s right, I said it. The theme behind my book is that we are here by the grace of Mother Earth and if we are not in her good graces, we are, in a sense, screwed.

Mother Earth, in my book, is a very angry entity. We have worn out our welcome here and she is plotting our demise. She thought it would be as easy as introducing the AIDS virus, or the Swine Flu, but no, we are more resilient than she planned. Now, in her frustration with us, she has decided that she not only wants to wipe us out, she wants to avenge her wounds as well. She rips the souls form the humans that have done her the most damage, committed the most despicable acts against her, and she uses them to create an army against the living; an army unlike any other.

They are called the Gemini and they are merciless supernatural creatures with absolute disregard for human life. Their mission is clear and they will stop at nothing to wipe us from the planet so that the Mother can regenerate and perhaps bring us back in a few millennia. They are the ultimate weapon, better than any abomination our military or scientists could ever imagine. Wisps of atoms, yet stronger than any superhero, they can fly, move through objects, are invisible at will and love to enter our bodies and possess us.

Mother Earth’s plan is well thought out and her army is excellent at flattening towns with fires and sicknesses and poisons. Her only flaw was that her star Gemini, Onyx, has a conscience. When he meets his greatest challenge, a young girl named Violette, the perfection of her creation is challenged.

Simple things everyone can do to help reduce our footprint on this planet…

The obvious
·         Recycle
·         Compost
·         Put trash where it belongs
·         Be responsible with dangerous chemicals
·         Go green with energy at home

The not-so-obvious
·         Invest in a reusable coffee cup if you are addicted to Starbucks
·         Batch your errands together once a week and drive less
·         Download your software instead of buying the disk and the huge package it comes in
·         Stop using coffee stirrers and straws
·         Use matches instead of lighters- less plastic and butane fuel
