"Jenkins brings edge-of-your-seat adventure to this intriguing new world. I can’t wait to read more!”~ New York Times bestselling author Jessica Day George

"Wow....WOW, WOW, WOW! I have no words to describe how much I love this book. Jenkins writes characters who are just so easy to love, and when you love a character it makes the book so much better. And I loved all the characters. Zo, Tess, Joshua and Gryphon. Gryphon is definitely my favorite - but who wouldn't love Gryphon? Of course I do have a soft spot for our heroine, Zo." ~Bri, Blogger @ Once Upon A Twilight

"Nameless destroyed me in the best way possible. The romance was subtle, but written beautifully. The plot was very intriguing and the pacing was spot on. I loved the entire cast of characters, every single one of them added to the story. Trust me when I say you should preorder it, add it to your TBR, request it from your library, do whatever you have to do to get this book in your hands because if you are a YA fantasy fan like me you need this book in your life!" ~Bridget, Blogger @ Dark Faerie Tales

"NAMELESS is epic storytelling at its best. My mind is still reeling from the world that I have just been immersed in and I don't want to leave it. Can I please have the sequel NOW? Because I need to know what happens next but in the meantime I'm just going to re-read it again and again. Is it that good, you may ask? Hell yes!!! And you will think so too. Trust me." Nancy, Blogger @ Tales of A Ravenous Reader

"To say that I love this book is an understatement. It completely blew me away! I am so happy that I took a chance on it. NAMELESS is one book that you can re-read over and over again and it will still feel fresh! I cannot wait for the world to read it and fall under the NAMELESS spell. Because that’s what I feel like I am under, a spell that has me trapped in Zo's world and won’t let me out! I don’t want out!"~Damaris, Blogger @ Good Choice Reading

Minotaur.v3

“Where shall I start?” asked Minotaur.

Ovid made an expansive gesture with both hands. “Where else but the beginning of course.”

Minotaur nodded his huge head. “Yes,” he said. “Yes,” his eyes already glazing over with the weight of thousand year old memories. And then he began.

So begins the story of Asterion, later known as Minotaur, the supposed half bull creature of Greek legend. Recorded by the famous Roman poet, Ovid, Asterion tells of his boyhood in Crete under the cruel hand of his stepfather Minos, his adventures with his friend, Theseus, and his growing love for the beautiful Phaedra. And of course what really happened in the labyrinth.

This is the true story of the Minotaur.

Excerpt

When the photos arrived, my plan started to form. I refused to let him be forgotten. So I took those photos and mapped out the places I’d go. I planned how I’d fall into his footsteps and how good it would feel to walk the same streets he did in this city that he loved so much.

I thought being here would provide some closure, some way to move on. That was probably my dumbest idea yet.

Because Wakefield is everywhere.
And nowhere at all.
He’s nothing more than the name my parents whisper.

The ink behind my ear.
A memory crammed in a box or a drawer.
I lean into the desk and suck in a deep breath, just as the bell above the door jingles. I sit up a little straighter and work to curve my lips into a small smile.

“Hello?” I say, tapping my pen on the counter top to get the attention of the tall, dark-haired guy who just waltzed in. “Over here, appointment?”

He likely doesn’t have one. No one ever does. They’re mostly tourists who think they need something a little more permanent than a jar of sea shells or a bag of salt water taffy to remember their trip to Silver Strand. So they come to see Rocko, who never turns anyone away. Which means that this guy, or any other douche that comes in without an appointment, will be here all night deciding which tattoo to get to complement their Affliction or Ed Hardy shirts and Rocko will do it. I’ll be stuck here, too, because, though Rocko may be skilled with the tattoo gun, reconciling the register at night is not his specialty. That’s what I’m here for.

“Oh,hey, sorry‘bout that,”gorgeous surfer-boy finally says. When he fixes his light eyes on me, a swirling inferno spreads under my skin despite the ocean breeze wafting through the door. “I don’t have an official appointment, but I called and talked to Rocko earlier. He said it was cool if I came by.”

Sigh.

“Of course he did,” I mumble, trying to look annoyed, but I can’t help returning the lopsided smile that hasn’t budged from his face. I ignore the way my stomach knots and attempt to be professional. Or as professional as the counter girl at a tat shop needs to be.

“So, is it alright if I flip through the books?” He means the collection of heavy leather portfolios, but his eyes stay fixed on me, sexy, friendly, and sparked with that tiny kernel of hungry appreciation I now know as lust. One look from him and a thousand hormonal dominoes tip over and click to every part of my body that can get hot or wet or racing.

Tracy Tam doesn't really believe in Santa Claus, at least not like the rest of us do. She also doesn't believe that Santa can possibly deliver all of those presents in one night, to children around the world, without a little help from science. A flying sleigh can only be powered by jet engines, after all, and Santa’s magical abilities can only be the result of altered DNA. How else could he know what every little girl and boy wants for Christmas and who has been naughty or nice? In order to test her theories, Tracy sneaks onto Santa’s sleigh then ends up at Santa Command, where a team of (gasp!) humans monitor Santa’s big night. When Tracy attempts to hack into their computers, she accidentally introduces a virus into the system. As a result, three states get knocked out of sync with the rest of the world (oops!). Santa won't be able to deliver all the presents in time! Now, Tracy must fix time and help Santa, but she has no idea how. How can a girl who doesn't believe help Santa and save Christmas before it's too late? With a little Christmas magic, of course!

There was a time in my life when I was someone else.

She died.

I used to be young and naive to the evils of the world, but someone snatched that away from me, turning me into a heartless monster.

When I’m assigned another case, my new mark awakes things that I’ve spent my whole life trying to bury.

An idea hits me suddenly and I immediately get to work on it. It involves a quick run to the store, but I manage to make it back just before she does. When she walks inside, she gives me a funny look. “What's going on?” she asks.

I set down the last of the supplies on the living room floor. “Ever build a blanket fort before?”

She grins. “I've built a couch cushion fort, but not a blanket fort.”

Alina and I get the chairs from the kitchen table, setting them up in a square. We each take one side of my largest blanket and pull it over the chairs. After about fifteen minutes, the blanket fort is nearly complete.

“Now all we need to do is fix this end so we can see the TV still,” I tell her.

She taps a finger to her chin as she takes a quick glance around the room. She brightens, holding her finger up. “How about this,” she says, grabbing one of the extra throw blankets. “Let's tuck this blanket in under the top blanket, then find a way to hold it in place on top of your entertainment center.”

“That could work.”

It takes a few minutes of tampering and reworking the rest of the fort, but we manage to get the last blanket in. As we're kneeling under it, one corner begins to sag. We both reach for it at the same time, and seconds later, the opposite corner begins to sag too. Before either of us can turn to fix that one, the whole thing tumbles down on us. We are tangled in the blanket, Alina giggling while I chuckle. She holds onto me as we both collapse on the floor. There's nothing else we can do since the whole thing is falling over around us.

Our faces are touching now, cheek to cheek. I move my lips along her jaw. Glancing down at her lips then up into her eyes, I ask, “Do you want me to kiss you?”

She shakes her head. I frown, but before I can ask her why, she whispers, “I need you to kiss me.”

With those words, she melts me. I cup her face and kiss her, delicately, gently. A tentative sweep of my tongue over her parted lips and she responds by teasing me with her tongue. We kiss like that, careful, languid, for I don't know how long. All I remember is the sweetness of her lips, the taste of her tongue, and I wonder how I've gone this long in my life without this.

Without her.

About eighty yards away, FBI Agent Court Braxton guided his company-issued sedan along the gentle curve of the residential street. He glanced ahead and observed a man and woman looking upwardly at the sky. Not knowing either Jeremiah Coltrane or Madison Leigh, he continued to observe the couple as they turned to head in the direction of his car. However, the woman instantly captured Court’s attention when the gap between them narrowed, and without realizing it, Court stopped pressing the accelerator. He held his breath, mesmerized as he watched absolute perfection walk closer. No matter what it took, Court Braxton made the instant decision to learn more about the woman who was causing his heart to race and his palms to perspire.

Open your eyes... no, no wait. Okay, deep breath, ready... almost. I might have had a bit too much to drink last night, fine then I was pissed, but so was Tomás, I think. Actually I can’t be sure about that either because Tomás ‘Pez’ Carrera—the gorgeous goalkeeper for the Santa Ana Saints soccer team—has a lot more experience than me at having a drink or ten. And now I was lying in a room that definitely wasn’t mine; in a bed with someone next to me; and, it was time to turn and face the music. On the upside, at least I was still wearing my underwear.

God please let it be Tomás next to me—I’ll go to church every Sunday for a month, honest. Good grief, now I was attempting to bribe God... I had sunk to a whole new low. It was the hangover or at least I think I had a hangover... can you get a hangover from four or five margaritas? I wasn’t a big drinker and I had never really been absolutely shit-faced drunk so a hangover would be a first.

I consoled myself that it had been a night of firsts, but I kept one of the firsts for another time. Damn it. I took a shallow breath so I didn’t wake the person next to me. Just get it over with.

I rolled over slowly and... what the fuck?
